III. Advantages of Perpetual Futures Contracts
1. No Fixed Expiration Date
Perpetual futures contracts do not require periodic contract rollover. As long as margin requirements are met and the contract continues to trade normally, users can flexibly manage their position holding periods according to their trading strategies.
2. Support for Two-Way Trading
Users can choose to go long or short based on their market outlook, allowing for flexible trading and risk hedging. Both long and short positions involve the risk of trading losses.
3. Margin Trading for Greater Capital Flexibility
Users can use margin to establish trading positions of corresponding sizes within the leverage limits permitted by the platform. While leverage can amplify potential profits, it also magnifies trading losses and the risk of forced liquidation.
IV. Risk Warnings and Risk Management Recommendations
Perpetual futures contracts are high-risk derivative products involving various risks, including market volatility, leverage, forced liquidation, and liquidity risks. Leveraged trading may amplify both potential profits and trading losses.
Before participating in trading, please ensure that you fully understand the product features and relevant trading rules, and make prudent decisions based on your investment experience, financial circumstances, and risk tolerance.
1. Manage Leverage and Position Sizes Reasonably
Allocate trading funds appropriately according to your risk tolerance. Avoid excessive leverage and overly concentrated positions to reduce risks arising from sharp market fluctuations.
2. Establish Take-Profit and Stop-Loss Plans in Advance
Set reasonable take-profit and stop-loss levels based on your trading objectives and risk tolerance. Fully understand the order trigger conditions and execution rules, and monitor your order status regularly.
3. Maintain Proper Margin Management
Fully understand your selected margin mode, the calculation method for forced liquidation prices, and the conditions that trigger liquidation. Continuously monitor market conditions, account risk indicators, and margin levels to manage position risks appropriately.
4. Comprehensively Evaluate Position Holding Costs
Fully understand trading fees, funding rates, and settlement cycles. Incorporate relevant trading expenses and position holding costs into your trading plan to avoid overlooking costs that may affect your trading decisions.
5. Be Aware of Risks Associated with Holding Positions Continuously
Although perpetual futures contracts have no fixed expiration date, this does not mean that positions can be held safely indefinitely. Sharp market fluctuations or insufficient account margin may trigger forced liquidation and result in substantial financial losses.
