Options fees consist of transaction fees and exercise fees.
Transaction Fee
A transaction fee is charged when opening or closing a position. The fee for each transaction is calculated based on the index price at the time the order is executed (capped at 10% of the option premium).
Transaction Fee Rate: 0.02% Formula: Min [Transaction Fee Rate × Index Price × Option Unit, 10% × Option Premium] × Number of Options Traded
Example:
User A makes the following trade:
Trading Pair: ETHUSDT Call Option Underlying Asset: ETH Strike Price: 2,000 USDT Quantity: 3 option contracts Expiration Date: April 30, 2022 Premium: 1,000 USDT
User A purchases 3 call options for 1,000 USDT each, with a strike price of 2,000 USDT.
Calculation:
Transaction Fee = Min (0.02% × 2,000, 10% × 1,000) × 3 = 1.2 USDT
Exercise Fee
An exercise fee is charged when the option is exercised. The fee is calculated based on the settlement price at the time of exercise (also capped at 10% of the option value).
Exercise Fee Rate: 0.015% Formula: Exercise Fee = Min [0.015% × Settlement Price × Unit, 10% × Option Profit] × Position Size
Example:
Using User A’s trade:
Trading Pair: ETHUSDT Call Option Underlying Asset: ETH Strike Price: 2,000 USDT Quantity: 3 option contracts Expiration Date: April 30, 2022 Settlement Price: 2,200 USDT Premium: 200 USDT
Calculation:
Exercise Fee = Min [0.015% × 2,200, 10% × (2,200 − 2,000)] × 3 = 0.99 USDT
