Overview of Options
The Options product offered by SunX is a digital asset options trading tool that uses USDT for pricing and settlement.
Compared with options that use cryptocurrencies as the pricing and settlement asset, stablecoin-denominated options allow investors to enter and exit positions more safely and stably during periods of high volatility, without worrying about a sharp depreciation in the nominal value of the underlying asset.
SunX options are European-style options, meaning they can only be exercised at expiration. However, before expiration, users may buy or sell options at the current market price.
By purchasing an option, the user obtains the right (but not the obligation) to buy or sell the underlying asset at a predetermined price on a specified date.
Options trading involves high risk — while it provides opportunities for greater potential profit, it also carries significant risk. Using options allows traders to benefit from both rising and falling markets while limiting the maximum possible loss to the premium paid.
Click “Open Options Account” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the account activation.
After activation, the Options Account will appear at the top of the Assets page.
Users who have not yet opened an options account will see a prompt to open an account when attempting to trade on the trading page, guiding them through the account activation process.
