Dear Users,
To help you understand the basic concepts, trading directions, order types, and fee mechanism of SUNX spot trading, we provide the following product overview. Before trading, please fully understand the relevant rules and participate prudently based on your financial circumstances and risk tolerance.
I. What Is Spot Trading?
Spot trading involves using one digital asset to buy or sell another. Once an order is executed, the balances of the corresponding assets in your account will change.
A trading pair generally consists of a “base currency” and a “quote currency.” For example:
- BTC/USDT: BTC is the base currency, and USDT is the quote currency. Buying means using USDT to purchase BTC; selling means selling BTC to receive USDT.
II. Buying and Selling
Taking BTC/USDT as an example:
- Buy BTC: Use USDT to purchase BTC through your selected order type.
- Sell BTC: Sell BTC held in your account to receive USDT through your selected order type.
Before trading, ensure that your spot account has sufficient available assets. Assets reserved by other orders may be unavailable for new orders.
III. Order Types
1. Limit Orders
A limit order requires you to specify a price and quantity. It executes only at the specified price or a better price:
- Limit buy: The execution price will not exceed your specified buying price.
- Limit sell: The execution price will not be lower than your specified selling price.
A limit order may execute immediately, execute partially, or remain in the order book awaiting execution. Full execution is not guaranteed.
Example:
Suppose the latest traded price of BTC/USDT is 60,000 USDT:
- A limit buy order at 59,000 USDT requires matching sell orders priced at or below 59,000 USDT.
- A limit sell order at 61,000 USDT requires matching buy orders priced at or above 61,000 USDT.
The latest traded price reaching your order price does not guarantee execution. Market depth, matching priority, and other factors also affect the result.
2. Market Orders
Market orders are matched against available quotes in the order book, aiming to execute as quickly as possible.
A market order may execute across multiple price levels. Its average execution price may differ from the latest traded price displayed when the order was placed. During significant volatility or insufficient liquidity, substantial slippage or incomplete execution may occur.
IV. Maker and Taker Fees
When spot trades execute, the system classifies executions as Maker or Taker based on the actual matching method.
1. Maker
An order enters the order book and waits to be matched, providing market liquidity. When that portion subsequently executes, fees are calculated at the applicable Maker rate.
2. Taker
An order immediately matches existing orders in the order book, consuming market liquidity. Fees for that portion are calculated at the applicable Taker rate.
3. Classification Criteria
A limit order is not necessarily a Maker order. If it executes immediately upon submission, that portion may also be classified as Taker. A single order may contain executions of different matching types.
For specific fee rates, the asset used to pay fees, and actual amounts charged, please refer to the relevant SUNX trading page, fee rules, and execution records.
V. Order and Trade Records
- Open Orders: Orders that are unfilled or partially filled, with a remaining quantity awaiting execution.
- Order History: Records including fully filled orders, partially filled orders subsequently canceled, and orders canceled without any execution.
- Trade History: Details of actual executions. An order filled in multiple executions may generate multiple trade records.
After submitting or canceling an order, verify its actual status. Cancellation does not reverse previously completed executions.
VI. Pre-Trading Checklist
